- Robert Arnold Lytle
Robert Arnold Lytle passed away on May 25, 2011 at his son’s home at Lake Winnebago, MO. He was born on February 27, 1929 to Thomas Samuel and Edna June Lytle in Joplin, MO
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and Carmen his loving wife of 47 years. He was loved and will be missed by his 3 daughters; Cheryl and Mike Skeens of Lake Winnebago, MO; Patty Lytle of Lee’s Summit, MO; Carmajean and Troy Pfeifer of Lee’s Summit, MO; 2 sons, Robert Schmid ot Scottsdale, AZ and Robert and Kelley Lytle of Lake Winnebago, MO; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and June Click his love and companion for the last 13 years along with other family and friends.
He served his country in the Korean War and returned home to continue in the family business of moving houses and heavy machinery. He was the third generation owner of Lytle’s House and Machinery Moving Company. He owned and operated the company from 1952-1988. After selling his business he retired to the Lake of the Ozarks until his wife passed away in 1997. After Carmen passed away he moved back to the Kansas City area and returned to work part time to help pass the time.
He was a member of Lee’s Summit Christian Church, East Gate Masonic Lodge #630, 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Past Mast of the Chapter of Rose Croix, Ararat Shrine and its Patrol Unit. He was a member of Royal Order of Jesters, Kansas City Court 54. He was also a member of the legion of Honor, Order of the Eastern Star, Order of Quetzalcoatl, Kachina Club, and the American Legion.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 31st at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., KC MO. A Royal Oder of Jesters Rose Ceremony will take place following the service. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
