Economy – Funeral services and burial were held today for John Cleve Newton, 84, Economy, who died Saturday in Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle after an extended illness.
Mr. Newton was a retired section foreman for the C&C Railroad. He was a World War I veteran and attended Antioch Christian Church at Losantville.
He was a 40-year resident of Economy, moving there from Muncie.
Surviving are a brother, Claude Newton, Losantville; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Mosier, Economy, and several nieces and nephews.
