Notes - Mrs. Floyd T. Hyatt
Mrs. Maggie Hyatt, 68, wife of Floyd Thurston Hyatt of New Bloomington, died this morning in Marion General Hospital. She was ill seven months.
Born Jan. 31, 1890 at Smile, Ky., she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hamm. Her marriage was in 1906 in Kentucky. She was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Cooper and Mrs. Eloise Oliver of New Bloomington, Mrs. Gladis Morehouse of Kentucky, Mrs. Gustava McGlowthin of West Union and Mrs. Mildred Banks of Marion; two sons, Normal Hyatt of Marion and John Hyatt at home; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Robert, Christopher, Benjamin and Basil Hamm, all of Kentucky. Five children and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Church of God on Bellefontaine Ave. The Rev. Clifford Mullins and the Rev. L.T. Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in Agosta Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on W. Columbus St. after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
