Mrs. Ethel Adkins, 68, of 410 Walnut st., died at 4:30 a.m. Monday in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Surviving are her husband, Chester Adkins; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Carl, Newport, and Mrs. Gladys Craig, Mrs. Allene Korvell, and Mrs. Willa Wyatt, Corbin; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hager Hale, Corbin, and a brother, Ed. C. Parker, Corbin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the 17th Street Christian Church, Fred Waggoner and Charles Burgin will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lumer Smith, Coy Parker, Tom Smith, Bobby Joe Eaton, Speed Bingham, Omar Whiteworth, Herbert Eaton, and Henderson Eaton. Honorary bearers will be the Daughters of Mary Sunday School Class.
Friends may call at the Vankirk Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
