Notes - MHR note. Chester C. Adkins was a pipe fitter for the rail road. He had a stroke in 1957 and collapsed on the floor of the cab.

Chester Admins, 83, 510 Walnut St., died at 1 p.m. Friday at the SEK Baptist Hospital.
He is survived by four daughters, Evelyn Curl, Newport; Gladys Craig, Alleen Norvell, and Twilra Steele, Corbin; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Esom Adkins, California, and Raymond Adkins, Covington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Vankirk Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Ronald Blevins. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Eaton, Bobby Joe Easton, Jack Eaton, Ernie . Prewitt, Harrison Parker, Tom Smith and Don Smith.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
