    • Ruby B. Blaylock, 90, of Grenada, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. He was born Feb. 26, 1920, to Hardy Benson and Ruby Jewell Pritchard Blaylock.
      Mr. Blaylock was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired communications superintendent with the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a pilot during World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force; he was discharged with the rank of captain.
      Visitation was Wednesday, Feb. 16, from noon to 2 p.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home. A graveside service followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Jim Nunnelee.
      Mr. Blaylock is survived by his wife of 67 years, Erma Blaylock; two nieces, Donna Perry of Baton Rouge, La. and Paula Collins of Grenada; two brothers, Ralph Blaylock of Southaven and Robert Blaylock of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Dorothy Marie Counts of Donathan, Mo., Joyce Helen Maness and Pearl Rose Sparks, both of Memphis, and Emeline Coffeen Payne of Potts Camp, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Benson and Ruby Jewell Pritchard Blaylock; and a brother, Bill Blaylock.
      Garner-Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
