Lee Cronkhite was one of first seven deacons elected when Center Point Church was officially founded on 14 February 1891: Harvey Elliott, Edward Ellis, A.W. Shelby, Lee Cronkhite, James A. Hedges Jr., Herbert Stearns, and ___ Dimick.
Lee's wife, Ida May Hedges, was a niece of James Alva Hedges who was one of the first five elders. She was also a cousin of Edward Ellis and James A. Hedges, two of the other first seven deacons.
