A Man Past 80 Falls From Mow
Injuries of W.W. Dugan of College Springs Are Serious
    Blame Urge of Spring
    Special to The Nonpariel
College Springs, Ia., April 6 – W.W. Dugan, past eighty years of age, who was seriously injured when he fell from the hay mow about two weeks ago, is much worse since Wednesday. His dislocated shoulder is much better, but apparently other injuries received by the fall, are proving more serious.
Mr. Dugan had not been in the hay mow for many months, but when the weather warmed up, he enjoyed getting out in the fresh open air and sunshine and was feeling better than usual. No one was around so he decided he would throw down some hay for the sheep. Evidently he missed his footing and fell to the lower floor, about fifteen feet. Mrs. Emerson Dugan, his son’s wife, was in the house some distance from the barn. She thought she heard him calling, so went to hunt him, and found him where he had fallen. His shoulder was dislocated but otherwise he did not seem seriously injured.
