    • H.L. Padgett Dies; Former Police Chief
      Mr. H.L. “Bill” Padgett, former St. Cloud police chief, 400 Tennessee Ave., St. Cloud, died Wednesday at the age of 60.
      A native and lifelong resident of St. Cloud, he was a member of the St. Cloud Lodge 221, American Legion, Kissimmee and the St. Cloud Volunteer Fire Department. He was a World War II veteran and a Little League baseball manager in St. Cloud for 20 years. He was a Presbyterian.
      Survivors: widow, Mrs. Letha; sons, Garry L., Kissimmee, Karlin L., St. Cloud; mother, Mrs. Lily, St. Cloud; sisters Mrs. Hazel Ondrey, St. Cloud, Mrs. Eudora Koger, Kissimmee; and two grandchildren.
